Exilis Ultra
Exilis Ultra, by BTL Aesthetics, pairs monopolar RF with ultrasound; ask how each component is used in your plan.
How it works
Exilis Ultra is a device from BTL Aesthetics that combines monopolar radiofrequency with ultrasound. Radiofrequency heats the skin and underlying tissue, while ultrasound contributes energy aimed at fat. A surface temperature feedback system helps keep heating within range. It is used for tightening and contouring of the face and body, and results vary.
Good to know
- Ask how the two energy types are combined and why that suits your area.
- Clarify the number of sessions and spacing.
- Mention implants, pregnancy, and skin conditions in the area.
- Warmth, redness, and tenderness are common; burns and uneven results are uncommon but possible.
Checking a Exilis Ultra treatment before you book
Combination devices can make a menu item look more advanced than it is. Ask the operator to explain in plain terms what the ultrasound adds to the radiofrequency and whether the benefit applies to your area.
As with other contouring treatments, ask for a written plan with session counts and a realistic account of what may change.
